Double Vision ● Foreigner
Double Vision is Foreigner’s second studio album, released on June 20, 1978 by Atlantic Records. The album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning platinum certification a week after its release. It has now been certified 7× platinum for sales in excess of 7 million units and along with the compilation Records is counted as Foreigner's bestselling album.
The song "Hot Blooded" has become one of Foreigner's signature rockers, peaking at Number Three on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling more than a million copies as a single. The song hit Number 42 on the U.K. pop chart.
The Double Vision album was anything but a sophomore slump, selling more than five million copies and peaking at Number Three on the Billboard 200.
Double Vision was the last album recorded by the original Foreigner lineup. After touring to support it, bassist Ed Gagliardi was replaced by Rick Wills, who had previously worked with Roxy Music, the Small Faces, and Peter Frampton.
