Guns N Roses Album “Appetite For Destruction” Inducted Into The Grammy Hall Of Fame

The now classic Guns N’ Roses’ debut album, Appetite For Destruction, has been chosen for induction into the Grammy Hall Of Fame.

Released in July of 1987, it delivered hits like “Welcome To The Jungle,” “Paradise City,” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, it's also in the Top 10 of best-selling albums of all-time.

Only 10 recordings made the cut this year and other artists included Doobie BrothersDonna SummerWanda Jackson, and Charley Pride.

The Grammy Hall Of Fame was established by the Recording Academy's National Trustees in 1973. The inducted recordings are selected annually by a special member committee of eminent and knowledgeable professionals from all branches of the recording arts with final ratification by the Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees. With 10 new titles, the Hall, now in its 50th year, currently totals 1,152 inducted recordings in the Grammy Hall Of Fame.
